Research Learning has to develop research agenda and formulate policies to a quality research culture. Research, at the University. The success of a University is greatly depends upon the research orientation of the Research Scholars of Faculty members. In order to contribute to the society by developing new ideas and provide solutions to the challenging problems of current trends, the researcher at the University has to focus on creating of new Ideas and its applications to serve the Society.
The faculties as well as Research Scholars of the University are deeply involved in socially relevant research. In order to encourage research within the University and to build a research based University to build culture of new Idea and Innovation.
PH.D / M.Phil Program
SWU follows the minimum guidelines for Ph.D. programmes prescribed by prescribed time to time and has adopted best practices of Ph.D. from leading universities and to produce quality Ph.D. Presently, SWU hosts Ph.D. programmes in varied fields covering medical, clinical, technology, sciences, humanities and social sciences . The University offers Ph.D. programmes in areas related to Sustainable Development. Master's programmes are offered in Public Policy & Sustainable Development, Environmental Studies, Natural Resources Management, Environmental and Resource Economics, Climate Science and Policy, Renewable Energy Engineering and Management, Water Resources Management, Geoinformatics, Plant Biotechnology, Business Sustainability and in Infrastructure Management. The University transcends traditional teaching and its courses attract students from various fields like economics, geography, engineering, social sciences, physical sciences and life sciences. This allows an integration of various perspectives into the curriculum, which provides a holistic approach to their study.
